Gadsden State to disburse ARP funds to eligible students

The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 is a $1.9 trillion economic stimulus bill passed by Congress and signed into law by President Joe Biden on March 11, 2021.

Gadsden State Community College received ARP funds and is disbursing it to eligible students for the Spring 2022 semester. Eligible students will be notified by email to the Gadsden State account.

A check will be mailed to the address on record on March 9, 2022. Students who have questions should email email businessoffice@gadsdenstate.edu.

Who is eligible?

  • Students enrolled in at least one credit course
  • Freshman, continuing, transfer, returning/readmitted students

Who is not eligible?

  • Dual-enrollment/accelerated high school students
  • Incarcerated students
  • Transient students
  • Students who withdrew from Gadsden State on or before February 14, 2022

How will Gadsden State disburse ARP funds?

Eligible students will receive a student aid check, mailed to their permanent address on record on March 9.  Students with exceptional financial need (Pell recipients) will receive an additional funding amount.
